• In March 2023 I suffered a proximal humeral fracture to my right shoulder.

  I immediately made an appointment to see Mr Rashid at the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth. He was most courteous, knowledgeable and professional and assured me that my shoulder would heal in time without the need for complex surgery. He explained what had happened to my shoulder with understandable X-rays and diagrams and was able to restore my confidence regarding the healing process. I was pleased to be under his expert care. He advised me that it would not be a speedy recovery as it could take up to a year to regain full mobility, but I should see progressive improvement quite quickly with the help of a physiotherapist that he recommended. Having to sleep upright and having to use my left hand for personal hygiene was challenging but Mr Rashid sympathised and reassured me that this inconvenience would soon pass.
  
  What transpired was exactly as he predicted and, eight months on, I am pleased to report that I have regained 90 - 95% mobility !
  
  I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Abbas Rashid to anyone who has a similar shoulder problem to mine.
